Howard Maibach, MD
Professor in the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco (USCF).
Dr. Maibach has written and lectured extensively on dermatotoxicology (the toxicity to man from skin exposure) and dermatopharmacology (the treatment of skin diseases). His current research programs include defining the chemical-biologic faces of irritant dermatitis and the study of percutaneous penetration.
Alan Shalita, MD
Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Dermatology, Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York (SUNY).
Dr. Shalita, named Distinguished Teaching Professor in 1996, founded the Department of Dermatology. A pioneer in the treatment of acne, Dr. Shalita is recognized nationally and internationally for his skills as a clinician, researcher, and educator in the field of dermatology.

Professor of Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine.
Avner Shemer, MD
Department of Dermatology, The Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel.
Dr. Shemer is a leading Israeli dermatologist, with a strong reputation in the field of fungal infections. He is also known for his expertise in clinical trial methodology and performance.
Paul Thau President of the cosmetic consulting
company, PaCar Tech, which specializes in the areas of innovative product development, new cosmetic raw materials, technology acquisition and transfer.
Mr. Paul Thau was employed at L’Oreal USA for over 22 years. During this time he served as Assistant Vice-President of Cosmetic R&D and then as Senior Research Fellow. His cosmetic industry experience spans more than forty years and includes R&D positions at Revlon, Bristol-Myers, CIBA Pharmaceutical, and Warner-Lambert.
He also served the Society of Cosmetic Chemists in many capacities and was a
member of the IFSCC Presidium and Scientific Committee.
The Foamix management and scientific team has achieved major tasks, including the development of
five technology platforms; writing up several patent applications and evoking the interest of several prospective strategic partners and client companies. Due to the broadening of the Company’s scope of action, Foamix is currently expanding its activities and is adding experienced scientists and business-development personnel to the team.
